HLP Hamakua Community Foundation

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo in 1985.  I then served the County of Hawai'i as a police officer for twenty-five years on patrol in the Honoka'a community which included a position as Honoka'a High School Resource Officer.  I became a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) instructor and volunteered to coordinate the Hawai'i Police Activity League (HI-PAL).

As a respected member of the community, I served as a board member for the Brantley Center, Hale Ho’ola Hamakua, Hamakua Youth Center, and the Hamakua Land Partners Endownment Fund.   

I retired from the police department in 2010 and currently own and operate my own home and yard maintenance business.  My wife Grace and I have resided in Honoka'a since 1985.
